More Vandalism Suspected

March 13, 2007

Part of the Conservapedia entry on war reads:

Jesus’ Views On War

“Do not return evil for evil”

“Turn the other cheek”

Sounds like another left wing attempt to paint Jesus as some sort of liberal pacifist. I hope a good Conservapedian gets in there and lets the world know what Jesus really thought about war.

Essential Qualifications for a U.S. President

March 11, 2007

Guiliani’s personal background is unlike most presidents. He avoided the Vietnam draft first by obtaining a deferment by attending law school, and then by obtaining a dubious “civilian occupation deferment” to serve as an allegedly essential employee — which was merely as a law clerk for a judge.”

Well said. Behaving well during the immediate aftermath of the 2001 attacks on New York City could not make the public forget that their president bent the rules to avoid serving in the Vietnam War.

Hard Facts or Vandalism II

March 10, 2007

The entry on Pittsburgh has been taken down. We hope that it will be back up with the factual errors corrected — but with the spirit of the entry intact. We’ve saved the original entry and will use it to compare with the new entry. Watch this space for reports on whether editors at Conservapedia are trying to soft-pedal the facts about Pittsburgh.

Hard Facts or Vandalism?

March 10, 2007

From the Conservapedia entry on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: “Liberals are drawn to the dreary winters and cloudiness of Pittsburgh because it reminds them of the hell that they are destined to eventually inhabit.”

While this quote has the ring of truth, some of the information in the entry about Pittsburgh, PA seems suspect. For example, my research indicates that the Mellon Arena was not, in fact, built in 1843 and there is absolutely no evidence that the Pittsburgh Penguins are moving to Vatican City.

Atheists Unveiled

March 9, 2007

“Popularly-known Atheists and Secular Humanists include Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, Stephen Jay Gould, Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris. Other famous atheists include Pol Pot and Stalin.” More from Conservapedia.

Who knew that Pol Pot was an atheist?

Memories

March 9, 2007

March 9

  • “1981 – Ketchup is made a vegetable, so public schools can include it in a balanced meal.” From today in history on Conservapedia’s main page. I’m starting to suspect that some left-wing wackos are getting in and vandalizing this site. We are supposed to be embarrassed by something that happened during the Reagan administration. Shame on them. Ketchup is made of tomatoes, tomatoes are a vegetable, therefore ketchup is a vegetable, and part of a well-balanced meal. Attacking conservatives for acknowledging reality is so typical of the libs.

Finally, The Truth

March 9, 2007

“Many Americans are also wary of the Democratic support for the homosexual agenda, including forcing gays to marry thereby weakening the institution of marriage.” Read the rest of the expose at Conservapedia. Even the boys over at Fox News haven’t had the guts to bring this one out in the open. Bravo Conservapedia.
